CAR CRASH RECOVERY FUND

After the tragic car accident in October that hospitalized MOFRO bandmembers and friends (and cancelled their tour), the band is finally on the mend and booking a new tour.

However, the driver who struck their car from behind was uninsured and has no assets. The band's medical bills were massive and the amount not covered by their own insurance is about $100,000.

The good news is that a whole bunch of the band's friends and well-wishers are coming together to celebrate MOFRO's recovery and to raise some money to defray their massive medical bills. This support will take the form of a benefit show, online charity auction, and hopefully some donations from people like you.

We hope that you join us to raise a little money, but maybe more importantly to raise some spirits.

MOFRO BENEFIT CONCERT Tuesday February 5, 2002 The Elbo Room, San Francisco This old-fashioned throwdown will bring together members of the 20th Congress (including Robert Walter and George Sluppick who both played on the MOFRO cd) along with JJ & members of the MOFRO crew, plus Melvin Seals, Dave Ellis, Will Bernard and Etienne deRocher. Dan Prothero and DJ Rob Kowal (Motion Potion, Nickies BBQ) spin rare records between sets, and more guests will be announced. Special thanks to Jordan Kurland for putting this event together!
